Why Male Sexual Health is Important

Male sexual and responsive health is very important. The lack of information provided about men’s proper sexual and reproductive has cause bad effects in the male community. Without proper health information, males will continue bad sexual and health practices pertaining to themselves and other. Not only will the men endanger themselves but their partners as well. By obtaining information men can push past these dangerous practices and help make a healthier environment for their families.

Male health is important because of these reasons: can reduce the risk of spreading STI infections, help reduce unplanned and unwanted pregnancy, and help inform men of healthy sexual practices with their partners to provide a happier future. Many men do not receive the proper information about preventing STI either because their families do not talk about healthy sex practices or their educational environment do not provide proper information. Either way STI spread from males to their partners easily, but with proper information infection can be reduced with the use of proper condom usage and disposal, and more information of the infections at hand. There are many pregnancies among men and women that are unplanned and many that are unwanted. By taking the necessary steps to ensure birth control these pregnancies can be prevented. There is plenty of information on birth control, male and female, and the different types and this information should be easily accessible to men. Informing men on healthy sexual practices can ensure a happier future with their partner. Sharing information can help men and their partners know the different kinds if sexual practices available. Problem can arise in different situations and men need to know what is normal and abnormal in their reproductive and sexual behavior. By knowing and sharing information men and their families can be well informed and and prevent serious problems.

One of the most important issues that men face is the importance of condom usage. Here at UIUC students get free condoms provided at McKindly health center. Many students, both men and women do not know that such facilities exist and to take advantage of them. Students need the know where they can get condoms and the proper use of them. Many males do not how to use a condom properly resulting in an unwanted pregnancy or infection. By providing information to every student through pamphlets, flyers, and just by mailing information to every student, knowledge about condoms can increase. Schools need to be concerned about the welfare of their students, so programs held at dorms, freshman and sophomore year should be mandatory for every student because all men and women need to know in order to prevent situations from occurring. According to the online website www.malehealthcenter.com condoms can help prevent against infection and pregnancy but should not be relied on. Infections can occur when the condom is not use before genital contact. Condoms are put through rigorous tests and rarely break but novelty condoms are no good and many people do not know this.

Another important issue that men should know is sex myths. Men and women should know the truth about sex and not just what they see in movies or what their friends tell them. By having classes and programs sex myths and questions can be addressed. Many people feel abnormal and men and women should know that they are not the only ones with problems and questions. Some myths men should know according to the website www.malehealthcenter.com is that men are not always ready for sex that it is okay to be tired and a little stressed out. Many men feel the need to satisfy women but it is a two way street and communication needs to occur. Sex is not spontaneous like in the movies and many men and women probably are not aware of this. It takes some planning especially for sex that benefits both partners to occur. Men have sexual problems and some do not want to admit it. Especially men in their youth. Problems occur and they should seek information of the problems at hand instead of letting them manifest.

In conclusion, information on men sexual and reproductive information is important. Some females know that their information on their bodies are available but many males do not know they have the same advantages or that they should have these advantages. Being more informed causes a healthy future for both men and women and students should take advantage of the facilities on their campus.
